Winter is a wonderful time to visit the Peak District:
Walk along frosty paths through spectacular scenery under bright blue skies, often without meeting a soul. Spot white hares on the upper moors, climb Win Hill and look down over a snow covered Hope Valley or stumble across deer around the Longshaw Estate.
Browse in the boutique shops of Bakewell or Ashbourne and buy unusual gifts at the many local Christmas markets. Visit Chatsworth or Haddon Hall, exquisitely decorated for Christmas, sip mulled wine, listen to carols and join in the Christmas spirit.
But for something a little bit different, how about taking one of these:
History & Heritage unwrapped with Discover Buxton Tours Take a break from the preparations of Christmas and enjoy a little Christmas spirit. Indulge in an authentic hot chocolate aboard the iconic red tram or relax listening to a Victorian conversation with tea and crumpets – make some time to enjoy this special season of the year.
